How did I get along without these?
Wow. What a great set of wrenches. I was given a smaller set of the non-flex head version of these wrenches several years ago as a gift and have used them so much, I decided to buy this larger, flex-head version. These things really let you get into tight spaces (can you say 4th Gen 4runner upper rear shock mount?) that sockets won't go and get bolts/nuts off fast without having to constantly reposition the wrench. I find myself using these wrenches more and more in places where I normally would have used a ratchet and socket. They are very strong, I've used them to remove and tighten things where I've really had to put some torque the fastener and they've held up well. At first I was concerned about the flex part being the weak link and breaking or spreading, but I haven't had any issues. The only problem I had was using the 19mm once when loosening a lug-nut (I was too lazy to get out my impact gun) and the ratcheting mechanism got "confused" and wouldn't ratchet, but a quick...

Wonderful wrenches
I use these every day at work. The other tech in the shop has rigid Gearwrenches, so I decided to buy the flex heads and we could use each other's as needed. Be sure to check the prices on the 9901 and 9903 kits... as I write this, those 2 kits together are about $20 cheaper than this one, for all the same wrenches, plus you get the 12-spot holder that the smaller kit includes, for whatever that's worth to you.The flex head comes in handy far more often than it gets in the way. Really, the only times it's a bother is either putting tons of torque on a fastener, or sometimes trying to start a small one in a tight space, when the head will let it pivot some. If you're busting off really tight bolts, you should break them loose with a regular wrench, anyway, otherwise the ratchet mechanism tends to bind up... or possibly break. YMMV, but if you have a tool truck account with a friendly tool guy, Snap-On or Matco are willing to warranty these wrenches. Not as fast as...

Poor packaging on Amazon's part
The wrenches themselves are fine. They aren't very long so you won't be able to get much leverage on them. Best for cramped spaces. Most of the flex heads are tightened to different amounts, so some of them are floppy, and some you have to muscle to move them. They are adjustable so if that's your thing, you'll be tweaking many of them.The packaging was AWFUL. I received a gigantic box with a bunch of wrenches flying around inside. The set was wrapped in plastic that had come undone and all my wrenches were freely moving around this enormous box. The finish on the wrenches is good enough that none were scrathed, but no one is happy receiving a box full of lose objects. Bad form Amazon.
