Great for variety of ages and attractive to adults
Our almost 3 year old son was thrilled when he got this climber today. He can climb the small rock wall but not the tall one yet so there's room to grow. A friend's 15 month old had fun climbing up the stairs and down the slide repeatedly, and our 5 and 6 year old neighbors kept climbing up and jumping off, having a ball. All in all, a great climber for a variety of ages. It was a hot day and they all liked taking a break by laying in the shady "fort" underneath. The colors are really nice and it blends into our yard and patio well. Now we just need to get mulch or something for underneath of it.

Absolutely wonderful investment for my grandchildren. It's in our family room where we all gather so the kids are interacting with everyone while having a great time. My 2 year old grandson climbs, slides, and hides while his younger brother plays below. We used the cushioned blocks under the playset to give them a safe spot to land. can't say enough about this climber!
i really did my homework before purchasing this climber!! i wanted something that wasn't too small, was durable, and just plain fun. we have had this about a week and i am beyond happy that i chose this one. i put it together myself (with very little experience) in about 5 minutes! no joke, it's that easy!!my two year old and his slightly younger cousin have PLENTY of room to play together on this climber, and i love the fact that they can grow into it a bit (with the rock wall sides, which are too difficult for them at the moment). my son wants to play with his "park" (that's what he calls all climber-like play-things) all day. i may make the bottom part a sandbox but for now he just climbs under there with some toys or "hides" there.he has a fascination with throwing things into water, so i put his small wading pool next to the climber and he throws things from the platform into it. he also loves climbing up and going down the slide (which is the perfect length,...

Great set for youngins
We got this set used off of Craigslist and it had survived 2 older kids, 5 and 7, without any visible signs of wear. We have now had it for about a year and a half or so and it's great! Our son was about 18 months old or so, but had been very mobile very young and he took to this thing like crazy. One other reviewer mentioned the side hole being large, but even at 18 mos, our son was very aware that going down the hole was a bad idea, and used the top part as a guide to get to the slide. Since then we've put a kiddie pool under the slide part and that was a blast in summer, and he is almost 3 and plays with it daily. He now loves climbing up the rope section, climbing up the rock wall (it was originally turned inside out, but he quickly outgrew the need and now it is the convex rock shape), drawing on it with chalk, hitting it with various things, sticking grass and whatnot through the little holes in the top, and just overall having a great time. Takes a lot of wear and tear
We've had this mountain climber set for a year and a half now and it has done very well outdoors in our super hot southern summers and icy cold winters. My biggest tip is to take in the telescope every time your kids are done playing with it, since condensation and rain fill the telescope with water and can't be used. A $20 replacement comes very slowly from the company and is a hassle to order!I have had birthday parties of a dozen kids ranging from 3 years to 9 years of age all playing on this, and it's amazing how many kids can play all at once. The only thing I'd point out, though, is that the dark blue climber parts can bend a bit under the weight of a big kid in the peak of summer heat. No one's had their feet pinched, though.

Great Mountain Climber
I bought this for my 2 year old son b/c he loves to be outside and loves to climb. It was easy to put together and he loves it. His almost 4 year old nephew came over and they played on it all evening. I love how the slide adjusts to different heights and how the rock wall can be adjusted to be less/more steep as the child grows. Both boys loved the telescope too...even though it doesn't do much but swivel! I think we will be using this for years to come!

very pleased toddlers
As a daycare provider for several young toddlers, ages 12mo. to 4, I found that this slide is the perfect step up from the smaller slide. The climbling mechanisisms are wonderful for hand and eye cordination and the tilt of the slide adds the extra zip! Yes, the back edges are open, which makes the perfect entry for a blanket over the top tent, however as others have complained this may be dangerous for smaller children, however as with any playgound equipment supervision is required! If your child is bored with the small slide but not quite ready for a mega playground or you simply don't have the room for a huge gym, this is sure a real hit!!!!!!

Open Back a Problem
My 19 month old son loves this climber. However, the design of the back side makes it possible to have a pretty nasty 3-4 foot fall if a child were to lean or slide too far back while sitting on the top platform. With older children this may not be such a problem, but for them the short slide will be pretty tame. Also shipping added about 30% to the cost.

Great slide and climber
I bought this for my twin girls who are almost 2.5 years old and they simply love this slide. I was trying to decide between this Hide and Slide Climber and the Kangaroo Climber and I chose this one, and I am glad I went with this slide. Six months ago my girls played on the Kangaroo Slide at a friend's house and loved it, but I found the Hide and Slide Climber to be better for older toddlers as they have to climb two steps to get on to the slide, and then the slide is higher and of greater length, so they can slide faster and longer. I would not recommend this slide for young toddlers (less than 2 years) but certainly for preschoolers, I think this slide is a great buy.

Perfect for ages 2-7 -This Slide Climber Rocks!
I bought this for my daughter who is two, she loves it. This was really easy to set up and having two slides,two sizes workes out really well. She doesnt get board on it, the climber, wheel, and even under the play structure is like a little secret fort for her. Our daughter who is seven can play on this with her at the same time & there is plenty of room for both of them to be on it at the same time & it doesnt budge as far as tipping...solid. We live in townhouses with only contrete backyard, I bought the big childrens pads for saftly precautions,which worked out really well...I recommend buying them to put at the end of the slides if you dont have grass in your backyard. It was a great purchase!. I bought the step two table to go with this & the extra two chairs all the step two products are good quality and durable. Ehhhh...
I was really excited to get this for our soon-to-be two year old for the backyard. He generally loves to climb and we thought this would be endless entertainment throughout the summer. Not so much. He was very excited about it the first day or two, but after a week or so, it's almost as if we have to remind him it's there for him to play on. First, it's much smaller than it seems in the picture, so that is somewhat disappointing. The slide has a very abrupt curve at the bottom, so his feet hit the bottom of the slide and stop him before his bottom hits the end, which means he basically slides for about 8 inches! Also, it's just held together by screws in plastic, and at times it seems a tad less sturdy than I would have liked. Our little guy is a bit above average in size (27 lbs) and when he stands on the orange landing to climb up, you can see it bow in the center, so I'm not sure how it could handle a 6 year old, as stated. Great choice
My son is 18 months old and loves his Little Tikes Seek & Explore Expedition Climber. It was very easy to put together and he and climb and slide down all by himself. He thinks he is a BIG BOY cause he can do it all by himself. It truly babysits for me for hours. We absolutely love it.
