Really nice cart!
I bought this cart for my step-daughter a couple years ago. She has a nice-sized kitchen but virtually no counter space. This item was purchased in addition to other items to give her some storage and food prep space. The cart sits in the middle of her kitchen where it's accessible from the stove or sink.The box weighed about 100 lbs, so to keep from breaking my back, I opened the box in the trunk and carried it into her house piece by piece.The top section including drawers is all in one piece, all you basically have to do is put on the legs and shelves.I'm 60 years old and it took me a couple hours to assemble it, however bear in mind I tend to go very slowly with assembly, primarily because I don't like to make mistakes and I'm definitely not a carpenter. (however I am a carpenter's daughter...haha)The cart went together well, and there were no foibles or problems, and all the hardware was there.The casters on the cart are a nice heavy-duty and it...

Kitchen Cart.
I purchased this cart for my wife. It arrived in kit form and I found the instructions fairly easy to follow. The drawings could have been a bit more detailed as to the placement of the holes in the various pieces. But I only had the first two or three pieces reversed before I figured things out. Assembly required only an hour or so. Having my wife happy with it made it well worth the time and effort. Ken Irons

Great Kitchen Product
We had purchased a similar item with the stainless steel top a few years ago and were very satisfied with it. We needed another piece with a wood top and found this. If you look at the pictures when you put the item together, it is a snap, keeping in mind the directions switched the letter designations of the two shelves.They do give you extra parts and the original cart has been in service since 2001, without a problem. I highly recommend any of these products for the kitchen or even as we used it-- as a sofa console table to separate the dining area from the living room area in our "great room". The middle shelf makes a great wine rack.

Kitchen cart
The size given is with the handle (or paper towel rack) attached. Sturdy constuction - very well made solid wood. Reason for the 4 stars is it isn't quite as easy to put together as others would lead one to think - and I've build my own house and kitchen cabinets. I had to mess a bit with the lower rods to get them in place at the same time the wine rack and lower shelf were attached to the legs.

After I assembled it (the directions could be better written, but I guess most things that you have to assemble yourself have crappy written directions) but I did manage to figure it out without too much problems.Overall, I am very delighted with this Utility Cart from Target. I like this cart
The cart took a little doing to assemble. It was not extremely complicated but required a little time and so little head scratching.I have since given it some abuse and it has stood up!I did not attach (bolts through the bottom) the butcher block, instead I left it loose so I could remove it to clean it. (It sits on a number of hidden metal posts that keep it in place.) I am a brute to my counter tops and knew I would make a mess.The wheel locks are nice and work. THe wheels work well even on the crazy tile I have in my kitchen.The appearance is very nice and the feel of it is sturdy and quality.I have all the shelf space filled and it is very handy.I have not put a heavy load on the cart so I can not speak of that.I would recommend it. I feel it is a well designed cart.

This small cart was exactly what I needed for an appliance station. It is just the right size and was fairly easy to put together. I am a 64 year old female and I had very few problems, even with arthritis. However, when it came to put together the final piece that goes across to give it more strength under the shelf, I found it had already been partly assembled and then apparently dismantled to return. The dowels had been glued in place, the two pieces put together and then broken off leaving parts of the dowels in the bar and some in the side piece. There was no way I could get broken dowels out to replace them, so I finished putting it together without the piece firmly attached. It won't be able to hold as much, but I can still use it. I wasn't about to take it apart to send back as it's previous owner must have done. When my son comes over, I will ask him to put in a reinforcing screw from the outside. It won't look as neat, but it will be sturdier. Other than that it...

I like this cart

good lookin, easy to assemble
I wanted to match existing bed room set... with out paying 250 at the store... I saw this a few other places online, for over 200..was not sure of the grain... but it is an almost perfect match!easy to put together... I am no handy man... but.. for grins I timed it.. 32 min. from time I took it out of the box till it was in the bed room...a good buy... and... it is sturdy... I have a 47 inch LCD on it..

Adding a dose of reality...
I chose this namely due to all the good reviews here. However this isn't exactly the dream product users claim it to be. Yes, it is solid wood. Yes, it's fairly stable however:Fire wood is also solid.The wood for this unit is actually very cheap and looks cheap. Significantly lighter in color than the picture Assembly is not as easy as users make out. You'd need some "flat pack" experience if you want to ensure it's solid enough to trust it to hold your TV. There were also a bunch of preexisting scuffs and scratches in the grain.This was about $100 when I got it. As the price is dropped it may be better value, but it is certainly no bargain. You can probably find comparable products at local stores for half the price.

Good Looking,but
This is an attractive piece of furniture, easy to put together and seems solid enough,but don't count on the casters. The wheels on the unit that I have would not hold in place and collapsed with even minimal movement.
