Steamrolling High-Tech Sci-fi
READ THIS! You'll definitely be happy! Except you'll want more! I read a few of the titles by this author, because his stories sound interesting. Man, was I amazed. He seems to be able to work in more than one type of sci-fi/fantasy genre with ease. But, I have to say, I think he has excelled in this new story. (And it doesn't hurt that high-tech brain-teasing sci-fi is my favorite) It's pacey, mysterious, intriguing, and hints at an awesome world behind these kick-ass characters. The author does a great job of creating an entire world where people pay to be a part of an alternate reality that is both virtual and real and filled with action. It is almost like a perfect blend of Inception/Totall Recall/Matrix etc, but with a new context that is much more plausible in our own reality than those. I really hope he does more along this line! From this short story, you will want to follow these characters and learn more about their lives and what being in a "Rend-V" is like or what having... Top to learn more

Perfect for newer Mac computers
I bought this for my 2011 Macbook Air 11" with the idea that I could buy one cord, no adapters and carry it with the computer to hook up to any HDTV and have video and audio with one cable. This worked perfect and is above and beyond a better setup than the $30 adapters plus cables from Apple.hooked up perfect to my wife's samsung 40" 2009.I bought a new yamaha HDMI receiver with specific intentions of moving any and all audio/video equipment through it. This cable is the IDEAL setup for anyone who likes their computer hooked up to their stereo/HD TV.Great price, great quality, very, very happy it did what I planned for it because we all know how it feels to buy something and find out you still need more cables.I bought a second cable, exactly the same seller and item, for traveling now that my home system is hooked up.

Product Description
A unique, well-documented, and forward-thinking work, the second edition of Handbook of Natural Gas Transmission and Processing continues to present a thoroughly updated, authoritative, and comprehensive description of all major aspects of natural gas transmission and processing. It provides an ideal platform for engineers, technologists, and operations personnel working in the natural gas industry to get a better understanding of any special requirements for optimal design and operations of natural gas transmission pipelines and processing plants.
First book of its kind that covers all aspects of natural gas transmission and processing
Provides pivotal updates on the latest technologies, which have not been addressed in-depth in any existing books
Offers practical advice for design and operation based on sound engineering principles and established techniques
Examines ways to select the best processing route for optimal design of gas-processing plants
Contains new discussions on process modeling, control, and optimization in gas processing industry
A HBK of many merits, needs editorial debugging
****"We suddenly have over a one hundred year supply of natural gas at current consumption rates and that number has been growing by about one decade more each year since 2005."If the above quotation is confirmed, Peak gas era is just unfolding, and it pays to learn the best technology to push its energy share up from 24% which helps slowing global warming. Since my initiation in gas processing, when gas discoveries boomed following the energy crunch in mid seventies, I kept updating through articles written by gas engineering experts, that addressed technical advances and proven industrial processes. The consolidation of technical solutions for NGL as a potential energy supply at the outbreak of the twenty first century, required engineers and technologists in the gas industry to seek an integrated fresh assessment of the developing technology. The problem was that such handbooks become outdated more frequently, even with gas technology advanced and processes... Top to learn more

more relevant since discovery of major sources
The huge finds of natural gas in the United States since this book came out just a few years ago helps make it more relevant. Now instead of a looming shortage of domestic natural gas, the brimming surpluses (with more to possibly follow) means that it can continue to be widely used in the US, for both home heating and for industry, especially in electricity generation. Thus the book's information on how to design, build and maintain gas pipelines is vital to the establishment of new pipelines. While the sections on the processing of gas for various end uses, like nitrogenous fertilisers, helps engineers running refineries. Top to learn more

Thorough Book
Easy to follow step by step info. I haven't seen the old book, but the new book has labeled steps and good photography, so you can rebuild a transmission without forking over major dough to a tranny shop. You need to buy a shop press to do the work, but you don't have to buy a bunch of specialty tools to complete the rebuilds. Top to learn more

This is the book to buy
I purchased the previous version of this book so I could rebuild a Muncie 4 speed. The most in depth automotive work my son and I had ever done was an intake manifold. My son and I used the book and the author's video (highly recommended)to rebuild our transmission. It was possible for us to do only because we had the book. The author is very passionate about writing so the reader can actually rebuild transmissions using tools they already have, not by having them go out and purchase more tools. We saved several hundred dollars, and we now have the satisfaction of saying we did it. Thank you, Paul, for making it possible. This newer version has more information than the first version, so it is obviously better! Top to learn more

A good book to introduce you to MT's
I got this book when I was in the market for a B-Body car that I wanted a 4-speed in. I wanted to familiarize myself with the rebuilds I planned on taking on in this particular project. The book is organized into chapters that help guide a person along in the transmission rebuild process. From a chapter on transmission theory, to assembly and the different types of transmissions used by the manufacturers. Each chapter has photos of what's being talked about or explained, which is good because the book probably would have been a little bulkier with the descriptions. With that said, this is not a step by step rebuild guide of the various transmissions and is not intended to be so. I view this book for someone who needs to create baseline knowledge about manual transmissions and what to look out for from a "real world" experience rather than a "how things should be" technical service manual. Great cable at good price
I'm using the cable to connect my MacBook Air mid 2011 with a 46' Toshiba, and the image and sound is flawless. The length is awesome, now I can sit on the couch without fear of an accident. I have no complaints, it's a great cable. Top to learn more

Great price, exactly what I needed
Originally I was going to just purchase an adapter to convert Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, then use my own HDMI cable until I found this. It takes all of the hassle out of having multiple adapters/cables by just having one cable with exceptional length so I can plug it in and use my Macbook Pro wherever I need to! Works great, highly recommend! Top to learn more

An outsatnding textbook!
I find this book probably the best textbook in materials science I ever read. Not only the authors are experts in the field of microscopy, but they also succeeded in extremely difficult task to present the complicated science of electron microscopy in a simple (but not oversimplified!) language. The book covers all major aspects of transmission electron microscopy, and contains excellent illustrations. This book is certainly a priceless asset for students. It is recommended as one of the best books at the beginning and intermediate level. If you are looking for a book to learn TEM, get this one, you will never regret! Top to learn more

Excellent introduction to TEM
In the 70's and 80's the book by Hirsch et al. was the TEM reference tome, and Eddington's book the applications manual.Time has marched on, and this book is the new replacement for both!Carter and Williams wrote a very easy to read, yet well detailed, text and reference for TEM. They cover quite literally everything, in just the right level of detail for 1st or 2nd year grad students. This book is the best way to get a quick grasp of TEM. Top to learn more
