Perfect Pet Manual
This is no lightweight 10 page pamphlet, instead an incredibly in depth look into every area of ferret keeping, from origins, behaviour, colours, patterns, adoption, care, feeding, taming handling, ailments, breeding, training and more. Of particular interest to me was the section on keeping a ferret with other pets, as we had considered adding a pair of ferrets to our menagerie, and after reading this essential guide, we now most certainly will. This book should be adopted as the new ferret keeping manual of choice.

Very weel written with everything you want to know!
I purchased this book specifically to learn more about why so many people are in love with ferrets. That's because my brother and his girlfriend had 6 ferrets that were not trained and practically destroyed their house. I didn't know they could be trained and I'm sure they didn't either. Some people just like to have pets and I think that's the type of pet owner Sarah was (my poor brother). Before you go out and invest in ferrets, you must know they are not legal in all states and you MUST get this book first. You'll learn how to prepare your home for a ferret, types of ferrets, important things to consider, shelters and adoption, medical issues, abnormal behavior, poop analysis (evidently this is very important!), old age, appropriate toys and games, and a list of FAQs. The author appears to be intimately acquainted with ferrets and provides everything you want and need to know before bringing a ferret into your family. Highly recommended.

Product Description
Author and official ferret nut, David Rand has been offering ferret tips to the ferret community for the past 6 years. In that time over 7,000 ferret owners (and beginners) have told him they want more and he finally gave in and wrote the book on the subject. When we asked him to summarise what readers would find he said:
"If you want to find out what some of the world's top ferret experts recommend to make it easy for you to keep your ferret happy, healthy, safe, playful and pooping in the right place, this is the book for you."
Drawing from, not only his own expertise, but also from extensive interviews with some of the top ferret care specialists from places like Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia (specialists who do it for a living every day at home AND at work), this book is the culmination of that information on ferret care.
David further explained:
"This ferret care guide was created to give you the steps, tips and tricks you need to ensure that both your ferret AND you get the most fun and enjoyment out of your relationship. Imagine you really understood exactly why your ferret acts the way he does (and knew how to easily fix any bad behaviour any time you wanted to!) "
Imagine you knew how to quickly get your ferret to listen to you, keep him safe from harm, follow your instructions (AND go to the toilet where you want him to). If you know the right way to look after your ferret, it's easy!"
This book contains the information which comes from years and years of real, hands on experience - including step-by-step answers to those tricky ferret questions that you've been looking up online or trying to talk to your local pet store about and just can't seem to find the answer for.

A good book for beginers.
I thought this was a good book that had all the basic information a beginer will need to raise a ferret. But the author wasn't very consintant with his nollege. He repeated himself a lot and some of the information didn't add up to what he said earlier in the book. I would have liked some more in depth information about some topics because I still have many questions not answered about my fuzzies I have at home. But over all it was a pretty good book.
