Ikea Lack 58" TV Stand
I looked on Ikea's web site and didn't see this stand and there were no reviews here on Amazon, so at first I was a little hessitant.Since it was cheap I pulled the trigger. It arrived very nicely packaged (double boxed) and went together in literally 15 minutes. (assembled alone)I have my 98lb 73" Mitsubishi DLP TV on it and it supports it just great. The selling point for me was the two center support beams (as seen in the pic). I heard the bigger TV's cause these looooong stands to sag in the middle, so the support beams were a huge selling point for me.Even though the TV is about 6" longer than the stand, the 3" it hangs off on each side is very tolerable and doesn't look bad at all. I needed a shorter stand and all the others were too tall (due ot the height of my TV).The stand is rated to hold up to 148lbs so hopefully over time my 98lbs TV doesn't do any harm.Yes, it is Ikea quality so just be careful when assembling and moving...

This is a great item for the price, but do you realize that the item is available in store for $49.00. $75.00 is a way too steep, and when you factor in S&H, its definitely not worth it. Ikea is great, but this price is way too high, considering the LACK series is IKEA's most basic/inexpensive item. If you have an IKEA store nearby, just go buy it and save yourself $40; if you aren't near one, I would consider a different item.

lack stand
ive had this stand for 3 years, actually im on my second one cause i moved cross country and didnt move it with me. i got this stand from an ikea store for $50, the first one was $70 but they lowered the price on alot of the items at their stores in 2009. it is great for the price. only thing is that your components are really low in the stand and is kind of a pain to reach. a 65" tv will fit perfectly on the stand edge to edge on the stand. i like the low heigth for large tv's. i see it is selling for alot more on amazon but still a good deal for $85 but not the $185 i see from some of the sellers. so anyway i liked the stand enough to buy it twice!-- they still sell this at ikea for $50 so save some money and order there--

Stylish low profile TV stand
I had been looking around for quite some time to find a low profile TV stand that was wide enough for all my components, yet slim enough to fit on my fireplace underneath the mantle. This stand fit the bill perfectly.The stand took minimal construction and feels very solid once put together. There is some simple wire management in the back of each of the wood sections to allow you to hide unsightly wires. There is enough space on for both my 52" LCD and my soundbar on the top shelf. Bottom shelf allows ample space for several components (probably 3 side by side, but I have them stacked).Amazon shipping was within 3 days for this product.

BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
Do yourself a favor and don't pay over $200 for a tv stand. I recently purchased this TV stand for $144.00 with free shipping and no tax. I must say that I am 100% satisfied. It is an elegant looking piece and it was extremely easy to assemble (took me less then 20 mins). I have a 50 inch samsung plasma on this stand but I think it can even fit a 55 inch tv. Save your money! Those $300 - $450 tv stands are a complete rip off!

Imprecisely Manufactured but Otherwise Good
Once you get it put together, this is an attractive, solid piece of furniture. However, I'm withholding that 5th star for three reasons.1. I had to return the first one because of a manufacturing defect. Two pre-installed threaded fittings were in the wrong holes, preventing the intended fasteners from fitting into those holes, and making assembly impossible. The replacement was free of defects.2. The packaging is minimal, and other parts of the first one were damaged in shipping. The replacement had no damage.3. Actual defects aside, the parts all took a little coaxing to get them to line up and fit together. If you look at the finished piece carefully you can see where some edges don't quite line up, or a support isn't exactly vertical.Other possibly useful information:It's very short for a TV stand, only about 16 inches tall. would buy again
Love the way the stand looks and its low profile. not hard to put together at all. I would have rated it higher but it came with slight damage to a corner. Packaging needs to be improved.

Must have for climbing toddlers
I bought the safety straps because my 2 year old son has begun trying to climb his tv stand in his bedroom on top of which is a very heavy 27 inch television (not a flat screen). I received two safety straps in my order and they were very easy to place. I attached the television to the tv stand with the straps and my husband and I both tried pulling on the tv and it absolutely will not budge, so I am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend these to anyone who has children and heavy appliances that could possibly be pulled down by a child.

Heavy Duty Safety Straps Review
The straps came just as expected and were easy to install. You do have to be patient with holding the pieces in place for the adhesive to set as the package directs. I waited the 3 days also before strapping them down and locking them. They work fine and secure my huge 150 pound old style TV to its stand so no one can knock it over. (I had to use four straps to meet the weight requirement.)
