The commercially available rectangular version of the Southern Cross
I am rather surprised to discover that all of the Confederate Battle Flags available here are rectangular in shape, as is the case with this 3 foot x 5 foot nylon version. The flag originally proposed by Confederate generals P.G.T. Beauregard and Joseph Johnston had a square design. Most of the surviving battle flags at the Georgia capitol are square in design, although it is true that when Johnston assumed command of the Confederate Army of Tennessee in the spring of 1964 he ordered uniform rectangle battle flags averaging 36 x 52 inches in size be issued to the infantry regiments in his command. This would make the dimensions comparable to the Confederate Naval Jack adopted in May of 1863. However, when flag companies began producing souvenir versions of the Confederate Battle Flag towards the end of the 19th-century, the stuck with the rectangular design, presumably to give it the same dimensions as the U.S. flag. The Confederate Navy Jack, also called "The Southern Cross," is a rectangular precursor of the Battle Flag, usually about 5×3 feet. The blue color in the saltire (the diagonal cross) is much lighter than in the Battle Flag, and it was flown only on Confederate ships from 1863 to 1865. The design was originally made by South Carolina Congressman William Porcher Miles with the intent to be the first national flag, but it was rejected by the Confederate government.

very nice pendant but,
First of all the pendant is stainless steel if i'm not mistaken,the chain however is not for sure and discolors after use and can irritate your skin so i suggest you also buy a chain separate to get a good wear out of this, luckily i had some layin around and used that.Its also very noisy and jingles around when moving so i plan to purchase some military dog tag silencers to eliminate that.Back to the pendant,its colors are very bright and eye catching and the pendant is very thick so there's no chance of it bending, overall i like it despite the chain.

Apart from some minor flaws, it's pretty impressive
There are reasons as to why it's rated just 5 stars. Firstly, the top of the flag has this little red smudge on the white strip next to the blue stripe. Secondly, the bottom right of the flag looks like some parts of the flag were cut off and knitted over it. However, as for the quality and texture, it's impeccable. It is still one of the best flag designs i've seen. I modified and added another white strip on the right corner and had four cotton loops sewn on four corners so that i could hang it on the wall. Looks great! Speedy delievery too!
