The Truth will set you free
This is an amazing piece of work, which, by the way, now IS available in English: ISBN 978-193557703-4 The quality and formatting of the book is superb, and the content powerfully informative and revealing. As one who has had thousands of conversations with my Muslim neighbors and friends, I can tell you that this is a book that will give you insights that few possess. I like the book's title: The Qur'an Dilemma. Every living Muslim faces a dilemma for which they have no solution. Their holy book commands them to accept "the previous Scriptures" (the Bible: Torah, Psalms, Gospel), yet it denies the central message of those Scriptures. My prayer to God is that Muslims who read this book will come to understand that the solution to their dilemma is found in the Scriptures about which the Qur'an declares: "The Messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if you do not realize this, ask of those who possess the Message [the Bible]" (Sura 21:7). Claiming that the Bible...

Product Description
The Qur'an is the very foundation of Islam. It is the source of all laws and practices, religious or otherwise, in Islamic countries and societies.
The Qur'an itself is divided into 114 chapters, or suras, of different lengths. This first volume of the The Qur'an Dilemma investigates the first nine of these suras. Each sura contains the text of the Qur'an complemented with these well-annotated elements:
* Introduction, outlining the major subjects
* Critical analysis of key verses, focusing on their historical accounts, scientific information, logic, and literary structure.
* Variant readings of certain verses, highlighting how the Arabic text has been read by others in ways that differ from the current common readings. Emphasis is given to the variation in the text itself, especially by those who do not agree with the codification made by 'Uthman's committee
* Abrogated verses with analytical comments, explaining how the authority and understanding of such verses are impacted by other verses. (Abrogation is a phenomenon peculiar to the Qur'an, in which hundreds of verses have been annulled or replaced by other verses.)
The Qur'an Dilemma also contains valuable articles on several topics that will interest and enlighten the reader, such as the "Compilation of The Qur'an" and "Women in Islam," to name a few.
In addition, the book contains a glossary to help support the reader and a Who's Who section that provides a brief bibliographical synopsis of some of the mentioned Islamic scholars, exegetes, and historical figures.
The Qur'an Dilemma uses Islamic classical references in their original languages to satisfy the scholar. Yet this commentary is written in a fluid language that allows average readers to enjoy these materials and increase their knowledge of Islam. Top to learn more
Important Reference
First of all, the seller helped me to get the book in Canada though the international shipping is restricted. The printing is awesome. I haven't finished yet reading the book, but it is an important reference (especially for the novices) that deals with the Quran and its dilemma. The worst thing is the referencing (e.g.:there is a reference cited in the text called Gabal which i didn't find in the references list, i think the authors means El-Bogly. Another example, sometimes the author of the reference is cited and sometimes the book's title), i suggest that the authors of this book revise, re-write and re-organize the references either in the text or in the reference list. Couldn't wait for the English version (which will be very useful for non-Arabic speakers) and the subsequent volume(s).
