Not SMC quality, but fine for DIY projects
First off, the ports on this valve are 1/8" BSPT (British standard pipe tapered) NOT 1/8" NPT. The overall quality is fairly low (poor paint/graphics and poor thread quality). I wouldn't use it in a commercial or industrial setting, but ok for Halloween props and such. Top to learn more

Great Pheumatic Cylinder for a great price
The Pneumatic Cylinder I received was new and works great. However, beware that this replacement cylinder is slimmer on the bottom than the cylinder it replaced and therefore extends closer to the floor. The bottom of the cylinder touches my carpet (with more force than I'd like) so it scrubs when I move my chair. On on a hardwood floor it doesn't touch; has a mere millimeter or two of space left. Just on carpet. So, I bought a plastic caster from Wal-Mart to cap on the bottom of this cylinder and now it just glides on the carpet. On another note, this cylinder is also taller than my previous factory cylinder; but that aspect I like. I gave a 5-star raiting and am completely satisfied. Top to learn more

Pneumatic chair cylinder - shorter replacement one
Bought a chair and it had the standard length cylinder in it. Sitting in the chair wasn't comfortable because my feet didn't quite reach the floor. This replacement cylinder, allowing the seat to be 2" lower done the trick. I'm glad it was available, it made the chair comfortable to sit in. It would have been nice if I could have ordered it with the shorter cylinder, but that option wasn't available. More money to make something work, but that is the way life is it seems.When the cylinder came the box was torn open and some washers and spacers missing but I could use them from the original cylinder.
