Easy rolled roofing material
I have an old RV that was leaking at the seams when water and snow built up on it. I was wary of installing a torched-on rubber roof due to the heat and cost. I found Peel & Seal, and it sounded like the perfect solution. Just spent a couple days last week prepping the roof and installing the Peel & Seal roofing, and I couldn't be happier. Took a little trial and error at first, as with all projects, but rolled on beautifully, sealed nicely both to the roof and to itself (overlapping 3" on edges). Where it didn't seal perfectly, I used a heat gun to melt the asphalt adhesive to the metal of the trailer, and worked perfectly. For about $100 a square, I couldn't go wrong. Top to learn more

Great alternative to higher priced competition!
This stuff works great. Seems to do everything that dynamat does just at a lot lower price. My only suggestion would be to clean the area before you apply it, and use it in warm weather. If this is not possible use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm the mat to get it to stick properly. All in all it is a great sound insulator and now none of my speakers rattle! Top to learn more

SWEET DEAL
Bought this a couple of months ago & it has no fallen off or peeled..this single roll was enough to deaden the two front doors of my explorer & the rear hatch/trunk door both from the inside & outer skin of the doors..it came with a wooden roller which was extremely useful & with a fatmat decal..the deadener kill all obvious rattling but did not kill the vibrations(as expected since its only 50 mill)but did I mention the price?SUPER CHEAP..but next time I purchase sound deadener I'm going to buy a thicker one Top to learn more

This was enough to do my entire hatch for a 2003 Eclipse GTS, and a little bit more. It works, but i found at Lowes there is a product called Peel and Seal, which is a roofing material. Peel and Seal has the exact same texture, feel, adhesive, and probably even taste as this product, for the same price, but an extra 2 square feet or so. I would recommend this product for the fact that you get a roller with it, but it's not necessary for installation. Either way you'll get the same exact product, but Peel and Seal doesnt need to be shipped. Top to learn more

Versatile and awesome.
I picked up several tubes of this stuff to mount foam acoustic panels to my home theater ceiling. It holds them up well, and if I want to rearrange or remove them I simply peel them down. Awesome!The fume comments however are absolutely correct. I used 1.5 tubes in my basement and it stunk all the way up to the 2nd floor for several days. Use good ventilation! Top to learn more

Absolutely works, but ventilation is essential
Short review: Buy this, you won't regret it.Long version:My drafty old double-hung windows were so bad that we could rarely eat at our kitchen table because of the cold. Besides the draft along all sides, the top half of several windows would drop down about 1/4". That's a big space for heat to escape through when it's below freezing outside.After doing much research, I thought this product seemed like the easiest and least expensive choice for my first attempt at saving some heating cost, and increasing our comfort level for the winter. After a season with it in place, I still believe this is true.I installed the Seal N Peel in the beginning of October, and now it's March, so I've had plenty of time to evaluate its effectiveness. It has completely eliminated any draft whatsoever, and I will definitely be using it again next winter. Our oil consumption has decreased by somewhere between 5-11% compared to last year.Of course... Great but watch out for fumes
I live in an apartment where the windows and doorwall leak terribly. Stapling plastic to the window trim is not a viable option because the apartment owner will charge me for having to replace or fix the window trim. I put this around the window and doorwall last night to seal the leaks. I immediately felt a difference in the temperature of the room and no more drafts. And it peels off and cleans up very easily. The only thing you have to be careful of is the fumes it leaves behind. I suggest you start with the biggest windows and leave the others open to air out the fumes as you seal up the remaining windows. Try to leave the window closest to a door last. Top to learn more

The fumes are noxious!
I used this temporary caulk on my drafty aluminum windows. It goes on smoothly, and any that you get on your hands is easily washed off. It seems to do a pretty good job keeping out the bulk of the drafts. It doesn't smell bad when you are applying it, however, the next 48 hours are terrible. The fumes are overpowering and obnoxious. Initially it stuck well to the aluminum window frames, however, as time passed it seemed to be coming off the windows. None of it has fallen off, but it seems to have come up in some places. I have not removed it yet so I cannot comment on removal yet.04/01/09 Update: I just started removing the caulking from the window and it comes up easily and leaves no residue.All in all... Apply it in sessions over a few weeks and make sure there is plenty of ventilation. Top to learn more

My attention was first caught by the patent number, US 6,732,494, printed inside the flap. I have been doing a lot of patent searching lately, so I immediately looked up the patent. You can also do this very easily. Go to Google Patents and enter the patent number.About the envelope: I have used similar envelopes with self-sealing adhesive in the past. I live in a very humid climate. We have had nearly sixty inches of rain in the last twelve months. The old lick and seal envelopes seal themselves and become unusable in a very short period of time.All of the press and seal envelopes that I have tried previously require that you peel off a strip before the adhesive is exposed. Answer to a pet peeve
One of my pet peeves with mailing materials is that--often--the glue is insufficient and I have to use Scotch tape to make sure that the envelope stays sealed. Ugh!This envelope is a whole class better than the normal envelopes that I have had experience with. It seals much more effectively. The envelope itself provides a bit of security with an internal pattern that makes it difficult to see anything through the envelope.I'm not sure that much more need be said.
