In-Game File Sharing
It will be possible to share files, to up- and download setups while being in the game. The same will be possible for the ghost-files for time trial sessions. You can up- and download ghost files in-game, which can also include the setup that was used to make the ghost.

Online Leader-boards and Ranking
Online leader-boards and ranking will be available for all the new tracks and classes, both on the website and in-game.

Race-Line
In Time-Trial a feature is added called the Race-Line. This raceline is inspired by the race-line in GTR2, but features much more options. There are distinctive brake-markers to indicate braking points, and you can not load just one but even two race-lines to compare and follow. These race-lines including their ghost-files and setups can be up- or downloaded in-game as well.

Replay Studio
The Replay system is now equipped with the possibility to not only save the full replay after the race but also the instant replays that can be viewed during the race.

Nationality Indicator
The player-profile will now be equipped with a flag and a country indicator, which will follow the player throughout the game. This will also allow for country specific rankings and other country specific options.

If you liked Race 07, this is for you but it's not GTR2
When I saw GTR Evo at Amazon, I jumped at it thinking "Finally. An update to GTR2." I was wrong.GTR2 is probably the best racing simulation game out there. It has all the detail and depth you might want from a simulation: the physics system is excellent, AI cars are appropriately aggressive and smart, car setup and configuration options are extremely detailed, and there is an excellent tutorial system that will educate you as a simulation racing driver. In short an excellent simulation and a must for any racing simulation fan. However, GTR2 is now several years old, so an update is possibly in order. This, unfortunately, is not it. Still, that's not all bad.Compared to GTR2, Race and Race 07 were both good racing simulations but not designed to be as realistic as GTR2. GTI Racing
i wasn't expecting much when i downloaded this game for $4.99, but after playing for more than 3 hours i can say it's a real good deal. it runs great on my crappy pc, very easy to set up after install, and load times are almost non-existant. the physics are a little goofy, the music sucks, but everything else about the game is pretty solid. if you like racing games, and don't have a super computer, this game will surprise you.

Not as good as I expected. This isn't racing.
Over the past year or so my interest in racing and automotive based games grew exponentially. I think it started with Test Drive Unlimited 2. I really don't want to split hairs over what is a simulator and what's casual or arcade gaming, If it's fun or not is all that matters.I liked GTI Racing in a lot of areas. It runs fine on my WIndows 7 64 bit computer which is a plus. I'm using a Logitech G 25 steering wheel with it as well which is good. The graphics are pretty good with both the cars and the tracks. Remember, this isn't a new game so it's relative to its age. Control -driving- is very good. The engine sounds lack a bit of realism as do those in many driving games. The game itself is easy to navigate and do things in. Most things are intuitive to figure out.My favorite part of the game is the car modification and set-up. I wish all driving games had a modification / upgrade system like this. I really don't like the "black box" upgrade many games use...

Excellent Game
I find Need for Speed Shift 2 a very fun game. The graphics are excellent, and the game play is great. I own every driving game available. My family loves to play these. I have a very sophisticated simulator made from the entire cockpit of a real Corvette with functioning dash, shifter, handbrake etc. I was skeptical given so many poor reviews here. I purchased despite my trepidation. I am glad I did. I recommend this game with out reservation. As with all driving games, it is much more fun with a steering wheel like the Logitech G25-G27.

PC version feels... "Unfinished"
Just to give you some background on me (so you can take what I say with a grain of salt, depending on what you're looking for from this game) I mostly play racing games that lean far more toward the simulator side (modified versions of GTR2, GTR Evo/Race 07, rFactor, Richard Burns Rally). I have a G25 steering wheel and have my pedals & shifter mounted on stands to more accurately place them where they would be in a car. I'll spend hours trying to whittle away seconds from a lap time. So imagine how excited I was after seeing the technology video on Shift 2.Out of the box, the game was nearly unplayable on the PC. What it feels like to me is that the game was probably ported to PC, then given a quick slap of force feedback (FFB) that isn't anywhere near being well tuned, in order to get the games released at the same time on all platforms. I say this because I don't believe the physics are entirely to blame here, but after playing other sims and then playing this one,...

Wonderful on a sufficient system. A racer revalation! Here's why:
MY DECISION TO BUY:I was on the fence even trying it out based on the reviews, but having tried it I now know SHIFT 2 has gotten a seriously undeserved bum rap. Finding it for $25-$1.5 ebay bucks on ebay shipped was enough for me to give it a go.OVERALL IMPRESSIONIt's worth much more than what I paid, though I'm glad I got a good deal; I don't like spending more than $30 for a title. EA, you were due, and you hit it out of the park! Playing it feels amazing. It doesn't take tinkering to get it playing nice, just a few basic considerations. The game play is silky smooth on my current PC...But there are a few things I'd like to share with all you current disappointed and potential players because SHIFT 2 is getting a bum rap. Best Modders Sim Period-Multiple Real World Series/cars/tracks available
I got this a few years ago and have been happy with it. This game is really the successor to the F1 Challenge series EA and ISI put out a while ago that is also heavily modded. I have F1 seasons and tracks from 79,88,91,05,06,07,08,09 as well as Champ Car 05-06, Indycar 94-95,08-09, GT cars, Mclaren F1 Challenge, Zonda Challenge,Historic Rally Cars Mod, F430 Challenge, and a lot of single cars for use in the all tracks and cars series.You can use any track for any car you have, say using Indycars on F1 tracks or GT cars on Ovals. I've got I would say about 100 tracks from the modding sites as well as the series mentioned above for over 20GB's of data, so rFactor is really not about the stuff it comes with but the stuff you can get online that makes it the ONLY racing game you should have. You can get Formula Japan, GP2, and many other series cars and tracks. They are free to download and the details and graphics are amazing in most of them, the best I've seen are the CDTP...

Excellent racing simulator
I purchased this game for use with my Logitech G25 force feedback wheel. Man, am i happy with it! the cars are completely tuneable in fine incriments from rev-limit to brake bias. almost all the cars are upgradeable too (not the F1 cars). there is a good selection of open wheel racers from low hp trainers to F3000 and F1. there are stock cars and several different closed cockpit vehicles too with FWD, 4WD, and RWD trims. unfortunately the vehicles have that "generic" style too them that somewhat poorly emulates the real vehicle it was styled after. its obvious this title was designed around extremely accurate car physics and not aesthetics, however the cockpit view in each vehicle is very detailed and realistic.there is a small handful of courses to choose from with a few variations of each. there is a large mixed dirt/tarmac rallye style course that lets you test your off-road capabilities- highly recommend! it winds through mountain s-turns then back down to the valley...

Fast paced driving action with a few small PC port faults
The main reason why I've made this review is purely because of the review right below me, which complains about requiring a "separate video card" to play. But I'll get to that in a moment.This is basically a fast paced arcade racer with powerups. Take a game like Gran Turismo and mix it in with some Mario Kart powerups, and you have this awesome, awesome game. The goal of the game is to drive around in your vehicle of choice, all of them real life cars, and basically blast each other to smithereens with powerups that are strewn throughout the track. Driving is VERY arcade style - you can accelerate, brake, and e-brake and you steer left and right. Handling is fairly straightforward. Cars handle very much like they do in Ridge Racer. Instead of getting busted up after just one hit from an attack, your car has a health meter, which goes down as you take hits from enemy attacks. A 20/20 BLUR
This seems to be a racing season. A number of new racing games have been or are to be released. But not all GTs are created equal.Only last week I was playing and now the long awaited BLUR is out. Since both games are more Arcade-racers than Simulators, I decided to do a side-by-side review.What BLUR has over SPLIT/SECOND:(a) Licensed cars. Fantasy cars look great but it is always more satisfying to drive real supercars. Yes, that means you have to start with the obligatory stupid compacts - but good ones get unlocked soon.(b) Much better music. Disney simply dropped the ball here, SPLIT/SECOND is in dire need for some epic music to go with the blockbuster mentality.(c) You have a map that shows both your and your opponents' positions, something I would have liked in SPLIT/SECOND...

With the cash accumulated through all these, players can buy new cars and upgrade their ability to use powerups and keep their career going. Powerups An impressive array of powerups are part and parcel to the vehicular combat that takes place Blur. These are spread across each of the game's tracks and for the most part can be used at any time. Drivers start out with the ability to sock away up to two of these, but with success players can upgrade to add additional slots and even increase the potency of the powerups that they have. Powerups in the game include: Shock - An electromagnetic pulse that homes in on the nearest car or packs of cars, surrounding you. Barge - An energy wave weapon designed to be unleashed at close range to hurl enemy drivers off course. Shunt - A forward firing projectile that can be used to bring you closer to competitors or blast them out of the way. Nitro - A short, powerful speed boost designed to get the driver back in contention when he/she falls behind. Mines - Explosive devices dropped out on to the track that blow apart any car that runs them over. Repair - A way to regain health without making a pit stop at a repair shop. Unlike other powerups, these are used instantly instead of being stored for later use. Multiplayer Support and Game Modes Blur is designed from the ground up to provide an enthralling multiplayer experience both online and offline. Online players with enjoy support for up to 20 player races, while local offline play features 2-4 player, four-way split screen support through a single console and up to 20 player support via system link console configurations. Within races players will have the choice to play either competitively and cooperative, in a variety of play modes that offer a mix of customization and automation. Just a few of the race parameters that can be customized are locale, car class and number of racers. Players can also choose to let the game handle the specifics of race particulars with World Tour mode, which will string together race after race randomly, allowing friends to simply concentrate on the fun. Tracks and Cars The gameworld of Blur contains an impressive array of tracks and cars. Players can expect to pile up the powerups and put the pedal to the metal across tracks set throughout 14 real cities and other locations throughout the world, each of these featuring recognizable streets and landmarks. Just a few of these include, London, San Francisco, Barcelona and Los Angeles. The game is also filled with over 50 fully licensed cars, unlockable and purchasable throughout the game. Lots of underappreciated fun!
This is a great game! Fun to play online (potentially at least), and fun to play on splitscreen, too,I just love the Mario Kart with real cars and places concept. I got almost everything I was expecting out of it. Maybe the car roster wasn't as rich as I hoped (okay, that just means it doesn't feature the Subaru Impreza STI, nor the Aston Martins), but still you get your Camaros, Corvettes, BMWs, Mustangs, etc.I say give it a shot. You'll have a ton of fun.I'll also say that after over 5 years of playing Trackmania on a weekly basis, this game is at fault for finally making me quit the habit.

Excellent for gamers
I initially bought this to modify for my use as a input switch for use with programs like Teamspeak for push to talk. After opening it up I found the control boards website of PCSensor.com which revealed it has software written for it so you can configure this to fire off any keyboard/mouse signal you want it to send. It may not look as fancy as some of the more pricey USB Footswitches marketed towards gamers but it is easily programmed and is recognized by Windows as a simple input device without any real hassle. I highly recommend this if you want to avoid paying for the name branded version of the same concept.

Great price, awesome item!
Foot switch is built from a sturdy material, long usb cable. Windows recognized the device and installed the drivers. It comes with its own software (on cd) that lets you map the switch to your desired commands(Keyboard/Mouse or String of text). It has been a life-saver when using teamspeak.

Better than I expected!
Let me start by saying that I play World of Warcraft which is why I purchased this footpedal. I was looking at the creative model which has many mixed reviews and was a little more expensive. I like the idea of having a foot pedal for a push to talk feature when running ventrilo while playing. I have to say I saved a good amount of money as this thing works flawlessly. I plugged it into my pc which runs windows 7 and installed the drivers. I set what key I wanted to use and as simple as that it is working out the box. It is kinda cheap feeling but then again worth the price, just don't get too crazy by trying to stomp on it or something outrageous like that. It is definitely worth the purchase. The software can be set up to be used for other games as well but I bought it primarily for my WOW experience so sorry if it is narrowed towards that. I hope this helps out those that are wondering about this product.
