Works perfectly
We bought these for the front door to our building. A standard doorstop was too small to stop the door. These work perfectly. They're made of a soft grippy rubber so they don't slide around.

Does what a door stopper should
Not too much to say about a door stopper. It works well in my application. I'm using it to hold open a hollow interior door in a carpeted bedroom, and it has no problem keeping the door open. I'm not using it on a non-carpeted surface, so I can't really comment on it's holding power there. It seems like it would work, though, as the stopper is made of a rubbery material, which isn't likely to slip.Speaking of the material, it seems to be thick enough to get the job done, and is of a good quality. The stopper is a little smaller than those I've had in the past, but that's just because I got the 4-inch model. It works well in my case, and the small size helps make the door stopper less obtrusive. If you have a heavy door, or have a large gap between the bottom of the door and the floor, then I'd recommend getting the 5-inch model.

Simple and effective doorstop
I bought this door stop when my office door kept shutting on me. It has about 1/4 inch clearance from the floor. It works just fine in holding it in place. It is simple, cheap and effective. If you have a door that will not stay in place, buy it.

But a good installation procedure, see below, is necessary to achieve precision.There are two major parts, a post with a magnetic ball on the tip, and a socket attracted by the magnet.To achieve full attractive force, the ball must enter the socket within about two millimeters of its center. Otherwise, the wind may pull the ball and socket apart and slam the door.INSTALLATION PROCEDUREWooden or sheet metal mounting surfaces are assumed. If one surface is sheet rock, pilot holes should be enlarged and the blue anchors should be used there. Magnetic Attraction can be reduced by taping thin cardboard to the socket.A. Using a 10 millimeter wrench and a #2 Phillips screwdriver, turn the nut and machine screw of the post's mounting plate very tight.B. Just what I was looking for
We had a door that would close on its own. Installed this in about 10 mins and the door stays where we put it. The wife complained about the loud clicking sound when the magnet catches the door. I put a small self-adhesive felt disk on the door side and it reduced the click while not interfering with the catch. Highly recommended to keep interior doors open.

Works well, once you figure out how to install it
The way the door stop is packaged, you need to use tools in an unusual way to get it apart so that you can install it. The brief instructions on the back of the package are so over-simplified that they are of little help. The base of the 'button' appeared to snap in, but you have to stick two screwdrivers in it and twist to get it apart. It doesn't have to be packaged this way in the first place and helpful instructions would save a lot of frustration (and I do a LOT of projects around the house, so I've got plenty of experience). They could also have included some double-stick tape to help ensure both sides match up when installed. Hope this saves someone else the frustration I went through trying to get the piece disassembled. Once installed, it seems to work pretty well.

Four Pieces make up this Object
This comes apart in four pieces.1. A screw2. The ring closest to the wall (which the spring screws into, similar to how you put a key on a keyring)3. The spring (FYI... it is springy, not solid like some other door stops are)4. The white capI do not feel that part #2 and part #3 will stay together that long without coming apart. My guess is that this will last a year or two and then I will be looking to replace it again because of how these parts connect. A far better design would be at least one fewer part. In fact, the one I replaced only had two parts... the white cap and all the rest. The only reason I replaced it is because the white cap broke off and I couldn't find a new one.So far, it looks nice though and does the trick. But I would not purchase this item again.Shipping was quick, packing was quick, etc.

Granted, these are simple to install once you know what you're doing, but there were no instructions or pix showing which side goes against the door and which goes against the wall. When I googled there were several amazingly unhelpful "how-to" sites that didn't tell me what I needed to know, until finally: put the adjustable side towards the wall. That said, great product. It's out of the way and doesn't project out from baseboard moldings where it's either unsightly or a hazard. One caution - my contractor told me that if you have a heavy door you might want to use two or more of these on each door. Otherwise you run the risk of damaging your sheetrock.

Looks good and works good
Not too much to say. They look decent and they work.Installation tip: the flat plastic protector goes against the door and the rounded stopper goes against the door frame or wall.These look much better then the shiny brass ones that are carried locally at my hardware store. They aren't complex and they work as advertised.If you put them on a door that could open 180° you won't be able to adjust these to allow that much opening. The max angle these seem to allow is about 125°.Why not five stars?No installation instructionsNot adjustable past 125° (Not a huge deal, but I have one door I wanted to let open more then that.)
