Almost 'uncorked'
As I am retired in Puerto Vallarta, I find certain items outrageously expensive here. Cork, for one. Wanting to make a custom backing for a dartboard, for our Sports Bar, the necessary amount of cork was going to cost close to $80. I had visiting family bring this product and was quite pleased with the quality for the 'peso'. Not a super dense cork, but perfect for most uses. Reminds me of my basement, back in the 70's!

Classier than boring old "normal" cork-board
We got this for our playroom to hang the kids' artwork. It's great quality, and looks so much nicer with our dark furniture than boring old "normal" light colored cork board. ;) It mounted easily and has stayed put.

Elegant bulletin board
I used these three sheets of corkboard to make a 36 x 72 inch bulletin board in an antique baroque frame -- padded with quilt batting and then covered in an elegant fabric. Had to provide a backing of thin paneling -- but, it worked very well and my client was extremely pleased. Was much better than the very thin corkboard that I had used in the past for such projects.

Worked great
Decided to create my own cork board with frame. This was a great cost option given that buying anything framed with cork that was nice is over $100 for this size. Bought some inexpensive molding and thin backing, glued it on and made my own for a fraction of the cost. Cork worked great.

Ok for the money
I ordered 4 rolls total to make a bulletin board. Unfortunately, only 3 of the rolls matched in color but as I was on a deadline...To anyone else looking to purchase this for a similar project - this will do the job with two caveats: First, as the cork is thin (only 3/32") you will need to use a backer of some sort to make it thick enough for push pins. Most home improvement centers sell 4' x 8' sheets of foam for under $10. Second, this is suitable for smaller projects. I tried to build a 4' x 8' bulletin board on the cheap and 4 of these are a bit much to work with in one shot.

Well that's disappointing...
The description states that this product comes with mounting tape, which it does not, so now I have to make a trip to Home Depot to get some. Not too happy. Was hoping to mount this immediately but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Product Description

OK for my purposes, but I don't love it
I put this over my desk. My desk is in a closet and not very fancy, or this would be unsightly. It serves my needs. However, it is not a tight cork like the beige ones. It is chunky. If you need to cut it to size, do it outside, because otherwise you will have what looks like Oreo crumbs everywhere. It cuts very easily. You will need push pins in order to hang anything up because the consistency is kind of porus. Good luck!
