Customer Review
Beautiful Corbels
No need to stain them. Just a can of clear spray lacquer and they are a beautiful rich dark reddish brown. Look like a million dollars on my new kitchen bar for less than half the cost anywhere else. Received them shortly after I ordered them. Great deal!

Better than Lowe's Home Depot - Designer Look
We were extremely impressed with the quality and workmanship of these corbels. They are so reasonable and everyone comments on the beautiful look and they think I paid much much more -- my little secret. Highly recommend for high end quality, heavy, nice wood and great look

Product Description
Hand-carved solid mahogany corbel 13" high, 8" deep and 3.5" wide. Ideal for shelves, under kitchen counters, etc. Also great for supporting drapery rods! Made of 1.5" thick pieces of honduras type mahogany glued together. These are unfinished, sanded, so they are ready for staining with any medium to dark stain such as Pecan, American Oak, Cherry, Walnut, Red Mahogany, etc, etc . Minwax has a vast range of stains so you can match your cabinets very closely, then you can protect and finish with an aerosol spray can of their satin or gloss acrylic lacquer. Note: as these are hand-carved and although the corbels are matched as closely as possible, there will be some differences between them. However, this is a refreshing feature in a machine-made age !!!
Installation notes: These corbels are solid wood and the best way to install them is by fixing them with two or three 5/16" or 3/8" diameter long woodscrews from behind. This is easy if corbel is mounted on a cabinet, a little harder if it is mounted on a wall since you will need longer (over 7") screws to pass through the studs on the wall. If you can't access the other side of the wall, then the corbels should be mounted to a plywood base at least 3/4" thick which is then fixed to the wall studs from the front. It's going to be visible, but you'll probably paint it the same color as the wall.
Remember, the bracket should be fixed securely enough to support a child or teenager climbing on your granite counter. It happens !!!!
We have sold over 500 of these corbels for supporting granite counter tops - we don't supply mounting brackets because we don't think they are strong enough for anything else than a supporting decorative shelf. Top to learn more
