Brakes
These are a little heavier than more expensive pads and they attach with bolts requiring a box wrench rather than an allen wrench like more expensive pads, but they have good stopping power at a good price.

I really needed new brakes
These work amazingly compared to what I was using before. Before I couldn't stop at all and sometimes I just flew through intersections and I'm pretty sure I caused a wreck but when I was being investigated I had these brakes on and I showed the detective how good they worked and he was convinced so he bought some of his own. They're really easy to put on, all you need is a wrench or vice grip

Fine quality
Impressed by the angle cut into the pad itself, which allows for better placement of the pad. Since the pad hits the rim flatly and you get better grip. Like the color grey, better than my last black ones which left a black icky streak down my rims. The price is outstanding for the quality of product!

No Squeaking!
Every time I would brake, there would be a loud squealing noise that would reverberate off the buildings and let every person within 500 ft know I was slowing down. This was prior to using these salmon-colored brake shoes. I can now brake in silence and without announcing my presence... which means I can continue progressing with my bike-ninja training!Seriously though, these are good.

Great brake pads
Every now and again I try out other brake pads (not necessarily cheaper) and I always return to the salmon-colored Kool Stop pads. They are very reliable, have decent wear, do not clog up with aluminum splinters that mar the rim, and simply are the best in wet weather.

Kool Stop Salmon. It doesn't get any better for alloy rims. Best wet weather pads around. I've go them on 4 bikes.

Equal to Kool Stops
These stop the bike with the same exact feel as a set of regular Kool Stop pads. Quiet, not grabby, and good linear feel. Put these on my kids bike, so I don't know how they are in the wet. These pads are slightly curved to better fit a bike wheel. They lined up perfect with a 26" wheel. On my boy's 20" wheel, the curve allowed me to get more brake surface against the wheel than a straight pad would. I gave 5 stars because the standard Kool Stops get five stars. I don't know how these would compare to the pad inserts, but I do know they are better than the stock Shimano pads.

Good Pads
Nice pads for the price. Not sure about their longevity yet, as i put them on as replacements on a mountain bike, then broke my derauluer and bought a new bike altogether. Easy to install, standard bike Allen wrench to put them on, installed in less than 10 minutes.

Mongoose XR-75 Brake Pads
I searched the web for Mongoose XR-75 bike parts , but was unable to find a site specifically designed for Mongoose bikes. Most of the sites had generic parts, and did not give adequate details. Finally, I decided to ordered the Aztec bicycle brakes from Amazon. I ordered two pairs, they arrived within five days. They were easy to install, they fit perfectly and work even better than the originals. Note, most bicycle repairs requires metric tools, so be prepared whenever you attempt to do any work on your bike with a good set of metric hex, and open end wrenches.
