A must see!
If you liked Dil Chahta Hai, you will like Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. I'm not going to tell you the summary of it because you can read it yourselves. I'm going to tell you the thinks I liked about this movie:1. The actors. Each of the three main actors did a great job. Hrithik was the work-a-holic, which is something he has never played before so it was nice to see him play something different. He did a great job. Farhaan- the jokester of the group. His one line jokes had us laughing throughout the whole movie. This is also a new role for him because in his other movies he has played someone serious. He also has a serious role in this movies but you don't see it until the end. Abhay- I don't usually like him in movies but I think he did a very good job playing the guy getting married. Beautiful
If you fascinated by India, as i am, then you will absolutely adore this movie. Aishwarya Rai is as gorgeous as it can be. Beautiful story, breath taking dances and songs.Not a single kiss during the entire movie. So pure and innosent, unlike European movies. The movie is 3 hour long, so take your time and enjoy every second of it. I sure did.

Dil Se is a movie that captures you on so many levels. The actors are wonderful and it's a pity that Shahrukh Khan is not better known here in the USA, because he is pure magic. Maybe if you think of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro combined with someone with great moves, who can really dance, you just might come close to describing Shahrukh. Interesting story, great dance sequence.
While not much of a fan of Bollywood movies, I got this DVD after hearing the music in the opening credits of the Hollywood movie "Inside Man". The music is catchy, so I looked it up on the web and found that it was from this movie.The song, "Chaiyya Chaiyya", has an excellent rhythm and wonderful sounding lyrics (although I don't understand the language). But the dance scene on the train is nothing short of incredible. The energy of Shahrukh Khan and his obvious enthusiasm along with an excellent job of filming and superb editing make the entire scene a joy to watch. While the video quality falls short of Hollywood standards, the the music sound quality is excellent (especially if you have a Dolby digital sound with a subwoofer).As for the rest if the DVD, I found the story to be absorbing enough to maintain my interest through out the entire 2 hours and 40 minutes. Simply beautiful!
Curious, I rushed into a Bollywood DVD rental shop and asked the clerk to recommend a few. She immediately handed me this one. I can see why.This movie introduces us to Veer, a man imprisoned unjustly in prison for twenty-two years, and Somayya, his young, beautiful lawyer trying to get him out. Veer tells Somayya his story of why he's there. It's long, yet beautiful, touching, poignant, and emotional.Throughout the film, marvelous song-and-dance numbers are interspersed (My favorite song- "Lado"), making the viewer want to "get theeself to Indian dance lessons."Lastly, the movie leaves a few lessons on the viewer's mind. The first, what is a border, but a line drawn on a map? The second, what is life without love?Enjoy!!!

A surprisingly good movie!
I sat down to watch this film with rather low expectations. I mean, sure, it was backed up by heavy star power, like the unfailing Shahrukh Khan, and the excellent Amitabh Bachan, but I didn't expect the film itself to be good. However, this was a beautiful masterpiece, and I must say Yash Chopra has pulled off another splendid film! My only two complaints were that the film tended to drag at some parts, and there was one song (but only one) that bored me a little. Overall, it is a nice film, and should be watched if you have the patience and time. The plot was good, and the romance was not overdone (like in many Hindi films). The main theme song is also rather catchy, and you'll find yourself humming it after you've watched the movie. There is no violence in this film, and it's good for the whole family (I mean that)!

This is probably my favorite Indian DVD. It's got the most enjoyable story you could ever watch on film. I'm glad to see that Amazon is starting to provide Bollywood films. I knew after "Lagaan", "Monsoon Wedding", and "Bend it Like Beckham" came out, people are going to want to see more Indian films.This is a story about Rahul and Anjali, a boy and a girl who were best of friends back in college. This movie opens with a woman named Tina who is dying from a complicated birth. She asks her husband Rahul, while before she dies, to name their new daughter Anjali, and she also gives the grandmother 8 letters that she wrote to give to the newborn daughter, one letter for each year of the daughter's birthday. It is on Anjali's eighth birthday that she received the eighth letter written by her long gone dead mother. In February 2005, National Geographic did a feature and one of the headlines said, "Shah Rukh Khan is God." Check out these movies, and you will have to agree. First: Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. There is the first part, which is at best cute and and it's worst--I'm talking about the dance in the gym scene here--downright embarrassing. But hang in there. In my part of the world, Indian movies are a part of our common culture. Having said that, I must admit that I was never a great fan of the genre, until this movie was released.Kuch Kuch Hota Hai has a story line that is improbable but believable, and it will make you laugh, cry, sing and dance. It follows to a point the standard formula for Indian movies, with music and dancing punctuating the story, but everything is modernised and fresh. However, even though it is set in modern times, it never forgets traditional Indian values. You know you are watching a great film when at a critical point your friend falls off the couch you are sitting on, crawls on her knees to the TV, grabs the screen and proceeds to yell at the movie.
