Feng Shui One Can Actually Understand
I've picked up many Feng Shui books in the past and they have only confused me. Guess I needed this a-z guide with actual instructions and tips spelled out clearly. And although it is set up alphabetically, a great read from start to finish as well. I really appreciated the simplicity of it. Turn to B for Bedrooms for example and see that you need to get the exercise equipment out of there and it clearly tells you why. Check out the section on mirrors, they can remedy almost any situation.

Excellent overview of Feng Shui
A good friend recently gave me a lovely gift, HOME DESIGNWITH FENG SHUI A-Z by Terah Kathryn Collins . . . it hit me atjust the right moment because I've recently been giving a lot of thought about how to simplify not only my life, but also my home environment.Feng Shui (pronounced FUNG SHWAY), meaning "Wind andWater," has been practiced for over 3,000 years in China. Yet itcan still be applied today to deal with the same essentialissues that were in vogue then: pursuit of health, prosperityand happiness. This excellent book succinctly shows how any room canbe designed to help get the life you want . . . there were manymemorable passages; among them:Spray a cleansing mist along the baseboards and into all the corners to revitalize a space. Cleansing mists contain citrus oil and can be purchased where health food and aromatherapy products are sold. Or make your own be adding a couple of drops of orange or lemon...

Best Guide for the Beginner
I am a Feng Shui Pracitioner and found this book for a gift for a friend interested in the knowing more about the art of placement. This is very understandable and she had no difficulty apply the concepts. This book was written in "layman's" terms, without talking above the readers head. I would HIGHLY RECCOMMEND this book for someone just wanting to know what it's all about without becoming the owner of hundreds of books and then possibly still not understanding the concept. Also, I would recommend that those interested in it would follow one author which would mean following one school of thought at the same time. Different authors with different FS backgrounds can be highly confusing and possibly cause you more harm than good when utilizing FS cures. Also only incorporate a few "cures" at a time - remember the say "too much of a good thing"? Well that applies in FS as well. You can become seriously ill by incorporating too much too soon. Good...
