Peter/Petra torso model CMT3
I am not sure that I would buy this model again.The part don't really stay in place making it hard to view right side up.The male female parts are not easy to fit in.I bought it for class lectures and practically have to lay it down and justshow the organ parts one by one to those that can stand around the table.

Little Skeleton Dude
For being such a small thing it is fairly detailed. It was fun to try and assemble him without instructions. I ordered him as a study aid (which I would recommend, esp. if space is a premium). The red and blue splotches on it were/are really useless though.On a side note; my Son became attached to him and named him Bob. He sits cross-legged in front of the t.v. with us. So, Bob ended up being a dual purpose item.

Disappointed but still pretty neat
After reading other reviews I was interested in this because I wanted to practice the bones of the body for school and surgery... the skeleton is very cool and it is now on my desk but it is small and flimsy. It is fun to take apart and put back together but it falls apart very easily and the parts are very small. If purchasing for a child, not intended for younger kids obviously not only because of its complex nature but also because of small parts. Nice as a desk decoration but not as educational as I had hoped.

Anatomy Student/Mom
I purchased this product as a study aide (chose this one due to space and budget limitations)...as the other reviewer noted it has amazing detail for being so small...suture lines and other details not expected. Great surprize. Also being the mother of 2 little ones ages 4 & 7 who are enthrolled with my anatomy books..they are excited to have a skeleton they can hold in their hands and "play" with which I do not have to worry about them tearing up. It has stood up well, and the ability to snap parts on and off helps when explaining things to them and studying for me.

This thing
This product is pretty good for educational purposes and study for anatomy; however, when you try to pierce together this product, well, technically, the biggest problem is that they dont have a back piece that supports the structure in the back part of the blood veins and arteries part. Therefore, good luck trying to make this thing hold together when you want to make it stand, took me several tries to keep the model from crumbling somewhat.

Little man packs a big punch
Wow, when I received the box I thought "This is really small", but I figured I would open to take a closer look. You do have to assemble him (there are a lot of pieces). I am amazed at the detail of the muscles. You can remove the deltoid from the bicep brachii, the sartorius muscle from the rectus femoris, etc....I purchased him so I would be able to show my students a particular muscle in 3D. It's good enough for the adults, but too many pieces to bring along to show the kids (and the pieces are a little unstable for many hands to examine)

Makes Education Fun!
Although slightly disappointed at the small size of this, its very educational and enjoyable. My 7 yr old grandson loves anatomy and has several of these human models. This is a great addition to his collection. Half show the vascular system, the other the musculature. Very nice gift for a bright child.

An excellent learning tool for Gross Anatomy!
I took a Gross Anatomy course, and "Big Tim" helped me a great deal in the memorization of over 50 muscle origins and insertions. He's not so big that he takes up a lot of space, and he's not too small either, so that I can read the numbers indicating muscles and bones. I encourage every Anatomy scholar to own a Big Tim Skeleton.

No Bones About It
I have to say that this skeleton was exactly what I was looking for. Small enough to put on a desk but detailed enough to be able to study from. I'm a second year medical student and didn't notice any anatomical defects. I gave this as a gift to my girlfriend who is also studying anatomy for nursing. And she loves it!I also liked the painted muscle insertions and origins.Very well done.

Great Skeleton...Great Price...
Big Tim was a big hit. I originally bought this guy as a reference tool to memorize all the bones for my A&P Lab class. Worked pretty well, got a 90 on that test. But it also sparked an interest in my 6 year old son. He helps to identify bones (probably the only 6 year old who can tell you where his patella is). Although some parts are tiny, it is very detailed (you can identify tuberosities, foramens and such). You can even open the skull and identify the bones within the skull (be careful though - you pull too hard or twist the skull cap too much and it could break). Even now, when I have moved on to the brain, Big Tim is still being used by my family for play and reference. Definitely worth the $30, sturdy, detailed, and great for learning of any age (almost)!
