Very handy for wood working jigs
Dirll a slighly smaller hole and it makes its own threads. The tip is flat and smooth enough to push against wood. Since it is not flat the hole can be off at a slight angle without harm. Adjusts with a 1/8 inch hex key (Allen wrench). 28 turns per inch allow fine adjustment.

Product Description
Set Screws are often used for holding a pulley, gear, or other parts from turning relative to a shaft.
The Black Oxide coating provides some lubricity to the product, meaning that there is less friction generated when using these products. The coating also provides a mild corrosion resistance, but should not be relied on in environments where corrosion resistance is a primary concern.
Hex socket drive systems are driven by hex wrenches or power tools with hexagonal bits. The Oval Point features a rounded tip to minimize marring and allow for frequent adjustments.
A threaded fastener's size name includes information about the major external diameter, followed by the threads per inch, which indicates if it is coarse or fine. Coarse threads are better when working with brittle materials; they are sturdier and are easier to thread and unthread compared to fine. Coarse threading also allows for thicker coatings and platings. Top to learn more
